Regeneration | Mace
In addition to long-term relationships and broad experience, Mace brings to the regeneration sector a variety of skills and expertise developed around the changing needs and requirements of cities and communities. Responsible for far more than physical regeneration, our unique service reflects an understanding of funding and stakeholder management, as well as national and local political context. We deliver results in environment, housing and community renewal.
On some of the largest and most high-profile regeneration schemes in the UK and abroad, including the Olympic Park for the London 2012 Games and Birmingham New Street Gateway, we deliver complex, multi-agency programmes that address social, economic, planning and community issues.
From Chatham Place, a mixed-use development at the heart of Reading’s regeneration scheme, to Hafencity, one of Germany’s largest construction projects in Hamburg’s docklands, we create spaces fit for 21st century living and working. We constantly develop our knowledge to deliver sustainable results that improve lives and stand the test of time.
We know that our projects have the power to transform lives as well as spaces, both for the inhabitants of a regenerated area and for those involved in the delivery. In recognition of our efforts, we were named Consultancy of the Year at the Regeneration and Renewal Awards in 2004 and were finalists in the same category in 2009. As part of our overall sustainability and regneration offer, our community regeneration team develops forward-looking training initiatives in partnership with organisations such as the National Construction College that deliver significant benefits to the construction industry, by addressing the skills-shortage, and people living locally to our projects by providing training and job opportunities.
