Mace Business School trains international clients

Mace Business School broke new ground in June with the delivery of its first training module for international Mace client Axis, a developer and contractor based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Axis is considering appointing Mace as project manager on Axis Towers, a landmark building in the Georgian capital.
During the initial approach to Axis, the Mace Business School was able to demonstrate the breadth of capabilities within the group and the client decided to use the school to learn about construction and project management in the UK context. The workshops allowed Mace to cement a partnering relationship with this new potential client.
The Mace Business School working in conjunction with one of Mace's international project managers designed a bespoke one-week training programme to be delivered to nine senior managers from across the client's business. The course took the delegates from the strategy of construction and project management through to best practice processes and the advanced systems Mace uses to support those processes. The training was supplemented with case studies on the Ropemaker and Savile Row projects and tours of both sites.
The feedback from the course delegates was very positive. Axis project manager Archil Khuedineliani said: "The course was fruitful and very interesting, a very good experience which will be helpful to support me in my work and also in future partnership with Mace."
Mace Business School uses internal experts in their areas rather than external trainers and while this can create logistical and operational challenges, the resulting learning is leading edge and based on excellence from within the Mace Group.
Brian Moone, Director of the Mace Business School commented: "We had less than four weeks to pull this programme together but it is testament to the attitude, experience, knowledge and expertise of Mace staff that this course was hailed a success by the clients, even while everything had to go through a translator."
