David Bill to speak at BSEC Exhibition and Conference 2010

03/12/2009
David Bill, director for public sector in the South East, will be speaking at the forthcoming Building Schools Exhibition and Conference (BSEC) being held on 24-25th February 2010 at Excel in London.
BSEC is a two-day event that brings together those at the forefront of school rebuilding initiatives, from policy makers to suppliers as the leading platform for sharing ideas and information. The event covers the Building Schools for the Future Programme, City Academies and the Primary Capital Programme, all of which have had a huge impact on education spending in the UK with an estimated £65 billion being spent from now until 2020.
David will be taking part in a panel discussion on schools capital programmes for the future to help gain insight on what government policy could mean for the nature of future investment in the schools estate, including the nature of a new academies programme and how the fundamental need for investment can be reconciled with the imperative of cost improvement.
The panel will also include the chief executive of the British Council for School Environments (BSCE), the former schools commissioner for England and director general, EACT, the chairman of the children, schools and families select committee, the former policy and programme director with Partnerships for Schools and the head of education & arts & culture units from Policy Exchange. As part of the panel, David can draw from the strong reputation Mace has built in the education sector working on 26 Academies and 13 BSF programmes throughout the UK.
