Como delivers innovative Nike ID Studio

01/11/2007
Como handed over the much anticipated ID Studio to client Nike at it's flagship store in Oxford Circus in time for the launch on 1st November 2007. The ID Studio, second only to a smaller version in New York, is part of a worldwide ID change for customising shoes and clothing to meet customers' specification and preference. Celebrities and sports stars were present at the launch.
The ID Studio allows customers to design their own trainers with a Nike consultant. The design is then made and dispatched directly from the factory.
The works undertaken by Como comprised the formation of a two storey structure from structural glazing fins with wall panels bolted in between. Glass shelving was UV bonded to the panels to form retail product shelving. The project was particularly challenging due to the location of the site and the tight programme which required the team to work while the space remained occupied.
