Structuring your career from the start
Mace has an established apprenticeship scheme specifically for those that want to start earning and getting real working experience in the construction industry straight from school.
The scheme sponsors school leavers who want to work and train at the same time. Usually on a day-release programme, trainees will study towards a vocational qualifcation and also benefit from in-house learning and development opportunities.
¨I chose Mace because I was impressed with the high standards and it looked like an interesting place to work.¨
Jack White, Construction Trainee, London
¨Construction is the UK's largest industry, and we need a skilled and qualified workforce. Mace tackles this by engaging with schools, colleges and universities directly to ensure students of all ages fully understand the range of careers on offer.¨
Tony Blackledge, Operations Director, London
Mace is always keen to take on school leavers with a good attitude and lots of enthusiasm who are interested in construction as a long-term career. Candidates will have a minimum A-C grade GCSE (or equivalent). Our apprenticeship recruitment will begin on 1st October 2008. To apply click here.
