Commercial Manager Required for Utilities Sector

The Role:

Mace is responsible for the management of the Asset Delivery for a major utilities provider. The programme involves the delivery of a Capital Programme worth £250m over a five year period (AMP 4). This involves design, engineering, programme and project management, contract administration, commercial management and client income maximisation. The programme consists of diverse projects ranging from treatment works, pumping stations and reservoirs, to the replacement of 600km of water mains throughout. Mace also provide support to developers and individuals requiring new connections into the clean water network.

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager, preferably with a background in Water (although not essential) to join the team. The individual will possess excellent communication skills and be pragmatic, results and numbers orientated.

The Requirements:

We are conscious that every candidate brings to the table their own individual experience and every person will be reviewed on their own merit, however there are some general requirements. • The ideal candidate will have solid QS experience, excellent communication skills and prior experience of a professional, proactive or consultancy environment• You will also have a degree in the ‘utilities environment’ and/or a relevant professional qualification• You must able to maintain good working relationships with clients, and take every opportunity to increase the profile of the company• Experience of working within the water sector is a major bonus, although those from other backgrounds who have an interest in this area would still be considered
