Ian Eggers is the managing director for Mace's construction management services in the UK and also the director responsible for the Mace Living brand.
Ian joined Mace soon after its inception in 1993 and has been at the core of many of it's developments and successes over the past 15 years including the More London development and the London Bridge Shard. Ian's formative years were spent as an engineer at Tarmac Construction. He moved to Bovis in 1988 and worked on the phase II Exchange House project at Broadgate, and this was followed by complex projects at Ludgate and Heathrow Airport.
Ian has managed some major accounts for Mace including The Royal Bank of Scotland, More London and Land Securities, covering major shell and core commercial buildings, residential towers and complex fit outs from Edinburgh to London. He also set up and commenced the company's first major construction management project in Macau, China, creating the joint venture partnership with Hsin Chong to deliver one of the world's largest casino complexes for The Las Vegas Venetian company.
Ian was the youngest winner of the prestigious Construction Manager of the Year award, receiving the award in 2000 against some impressive competition and has continued to develop his management style and skills.
