Governance
About Mace
To secure buy-in to our corporate responsibility (CR) strategy at all levels within the company, we have a clearly defined CR governance structure. This allocates functional responsibility for the delivery of CR objectives across finance, human resources, health & safety and the environment. We also have established a CR Strategy Group made up of senior representatives from across the business, whose remit is to bring leadership and co-ordination to our CR strategy. The group is responsible for embedding and integrating CR into the general culture of the company. Chaired by Mace CEO, Stephen Pycroft this Committee meets on a regular basis to discuss progress and forthcoming activity under each area. Actions and decisions emanating from the CR Strategy Group are then taken to the appropriate business units. The CR Strategy Group's remit is to:
- Develop Mace corporate responsibility strategy
- Identify key social, ethical and environmental risks to the business
- Review Mace social, ethical and environmental policies and practices
- Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of our business
- Review, agree, monitor and report on our corporate responsibility Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Increase internal awareness of corporate responsibility
- Encourage best practice throughout the business
The Corporate Responsibility Strategy Group is supported by nominated CR representatives in each of our main offices across the UK.
